Dog Training Programs & Pricing in Kansas City

Choosing the right dog training program should feel clear and straightforward. At Sit Now Stay, you begin with a Complimentary Training Day so we can evaluate your dog, understand your goals, and recommend the right program. We offer structured options for puppies 8–24 weeks, adolescent and adult dogs, and behavior challenges, including in-home puppy training, day training, boarding school, group classes, fitness daycare, and pool services, with upfront pricing and fully customized plans.



Every program follows a proven training progression and includes professional training for your dog, ongoing progress updates with video and written feedback, and hands-on coaching so you know exactly how to maintain results at home. You receive clear guidance, realistic expectations, and lifetime support after your initial program is complete. The goal is not short-term fixes, but a calmer, more confident dog and a system you can rely on long after training ends.

Online Puppy Training: $300

 Online Puppy Training is designed for puppy owners who want professional guidance with flexible scheduling. This program includes on-demand training videos, step-by-step lessons, checklists, and worksheets covering potty training, crate training, manners, socialization, and early obedience skills. The focus is on giving you a clear system and practical tools you can follow at home while building strong habits and communication with your puppy.

In-Home Puppy Preschool: $425

 In-Home Puppy Preschool is designed for new puppy owners who want clear routines and strong foundations from the start. This program includes three private in-home lessons covering potty training routines, crate training and sleep schedules, biting and chewing guidance, basic manners, leash foundations, and socialization planning. The focus is on building calm routines, clear communication, and confidence for both you and your puppy.

Puppy Genius Program: $1,250

 The Puppy Genius Program is designed for families who want confident results during the most important learning window. This program includes In-Home Puppy Preschool plus five structured Day Train days at our facility, focusing on socialization, confidence building, exposure to new environments, sounds, and surfaces, and early obedience and focus skills. The focus is on building strong foundations, reliable habits, and confidence that carries into adulthood.

Private Lessons

Private training packages are designed to turn your dog’s training into real-life results by teaching you exactly how to communicate, handle, and reinforce skills with confidence. Private lessons are included only within packages and are used to transfer your dog’s training from our professional environment into your home, daily routines, and real-world situations. These sessions focus on clear leash communication, engagement, household manners, and practical handling skills so you are never guessing what to do.


Each lesson is hands-on, personalized, and built around your lifestyle, whether that means working in your home, neighborhood, or public settings. You receive direct coaching from a professional trainer, clear feedback, and step-by-step guidance so training feels simple and repeatable. The result is not just a well-trained dog, but an owner who feels calm, capable, and confident maintaining results long after the program is complete.

Complimentary Training Day

Before starting any training program, your dog begins with a Complimentary Training Day at Sit Now Stay. This full day introduces your dog to the facility and routines while we assess behavior, confidence, and learning style through structured activities and confidence-building exercises. You receive professional feedback and a clear recommendation for the training program that best fits your dog and your goals.


This day is especially important for puppies, sensitive or cautious dogs, and dogs with limited exposure to new environments. Dogs learn best when they feel safe and comfortable, and if one day is not enough time to acclimate, we may recommend additional time in our structured, fitness-based daycare program before training begins. The Complimentary Training Day is included at no additional cost as part of the enrollment process and helps ensure your dog enters training confident and ready to succeed.

day school

Day School is a structured day training program where your dog trains with our professional team during the day and goes home with you at night. The program focuses on obedience foundations, leash manners, impulse control, confidence building, and calm, reliable behavior in everyday situations. While your dog works with our trainers, you receive regular updates and practical coaching so you can reinforce skills at home and continue progress between training days.


Pricing varies based on your dog’s needs, goals, and recommended training frequency. During your consultation, our team will help you choose the right Day School program and schedule. Detailed program options and pricing are outlined below.

Day School Programs

  • 5-day Program includes 3 days of acclimation, 2 private lessons, and 12 Graduate Classes $960
  • 10-day Program includes 3 private lessons and 24 Graduate Classes $1650
  • 15-day Program includes 4 private lessons and 36 Graduate Classes $2475
  • 20-day Program includes 5 private lessons and Unlimited Group Class $3300
  • You may purchase additional private lessons at a discount cost of $100/lesson

Please note, if you are unable to transport your pet to and from our facility for Day School, we do offer overnight stays.

Boarding school

  • 7 day Boarding School: $1475 per dog

    The 7-Day Boarding School is a focused jumpstart for dogs who need structure, engagement, and foundational training. This program emphasizes engagement work, marker development for clear communication, impulse control exercises, and the introduction of calm routines and expectations. It is a strong fit for new adoptions, young or rambunctious dogs, and owners who want professional foundation work paired with ongoing lessons afterward.


    This program includes one private lesson and Graduate Classes to help you continue building focus, structure, and consistency at home. You will see noticeable improvement in your dog’s engagement and responsiveness, with guidance to continue strengthening skills around distractions.

  • 14 Day Boarding School : $2475 per dog

    The 14-Day Boarding School is our most popular option and is ideal for the majority of dogs. This program allows time to build strong obedience foundations, improve leash manners, reduce jumping and overexcitement, and develop reliable focus around distractions. Many dogs leave this program walking politely on leash, greeting guests calmly, and responding well in public environments.


    This option is well suited for owners with limited time who want meaningful progress before transitioning into owner-led training. The program includes private lessons and Graduate Classes to support long-term success and smooth skill transfer once your dog returns home.

  • 21-Day Boarding School $3475 per dog

    The 21-Day Boarding School is our most comprehensive program and is designed for dogs who need deeper reliability, advanced distraction work, or more time to build confidence and consistency. Training progresses through foundation skills, distraction introduction, and advanced real-world challenges, including off-leash foundations, strong recall, place behavior around guests, and calm public manners.


    This program is ideal for families who enjoy taking their dog to public places, hosting guests, or spending time in busy environments. It includes multiple private lessons and Unlimited Lifetime Graduate Classes, which provide the highest level of long-term success. This program is also an excellent fit for families interested in Therapy Dog preparation and can include an AKC Canine Good Citizen test upon request.

Payment & Scheduling Policy

Full payment is due on the first day of your dog’s training program. We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards. To reserve your dog’s training spot, a credit card is required on file at the time of scheduling. If you need to cancel your reservation, a 10% cancellation fee applies.


Sit Now Stay does not offer in-house payment plans. However, Affirm financing is available for clients who prefer to spread payments over time through a third-party provider. Financing approval, payment schedules, and terms are handled directly through Affirm.
